ROCKWOOL Group in Byhalia, MS is seeking a Senior Machine Operator-Format/Milling to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain production lines in a fast-paced continuous manufacturing setting. You will read specifications, set up equipment, and ensure safety and quality during long shifts.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to work with measurement tools. Competitive benefits from day one and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in machine set-up and computers.
• Minimum 2 years machine operator experience.
• Ability to understand equipment operation to clear it safely.
• Understanding of key figures and how to maximize output.
• High mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read instructions and product specifications.
• Practical knowledge in continuous flow automated manufacturing.
• Hands-on problem solver.
• Able to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes.

Responsabilités

• Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains all machines including sanding, shaping, and cutting.
• Visual inspection of raw materials entering the area and verification of quality leaving the area.
• Uses measurement tools to verify production is within specifications.
• Cooperation and supervision of proper operation of the fleece applying device with all machines.
• Work in a fast-paced high-volume production facility and stand for long hours.
• Handle lifting up to 60–120 pounds with assistance and wear PPE.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Machine Operator-Format/Milling for our Byhalia, MS location. The position is 6:00PM-6:30AM, with days off rotating on a 2-2-3 basis.

What you bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent

What you will be doing:

• Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains all machines including but not limited to sanding, shaping, and cutting.
• Visual inspection of raw materials as entering the area and verification of quality leaving the area.
• Utilizes all measurements tools to verify all production is in specification. Including but not limited to tape measures, gauge blocks, calipers, and micrometers.
• Cooperation and supervision of the proper operation of the fleece applying device with all machines and cooperating installations jobs.
• Physical Work Environment & Conditions
• Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 or more hours during the course of a day.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production facility.
• Some lifting, bending, stooping, walking up/downstairs, fast-paced walking for some distance.
• The ability to lift 60 pounds & 120 pounds with another person.
• The ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height.
• The ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions for several hours daily while wearing protective + safety equipment required.
