Job Description

This non-skilled, entry-level position involves performing various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently move racks of product weighing approximately 900 lbs. or greater throughout the day (approx. 48 racks) and boxes throughout the facility.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace by operating machinery, counting, reading, scrubbing, soaping, rinsing, disinfecting, mopping, or buffing to meet sanitation requirements.
  • Practice safe and delicate egg and chick handling, promoting proper Animal Welfare Guidelines.
  • Occasionally lift approximately 30 lbs. and perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching for long periods (up to 10+ hours per shift).
  • Work in a climate ranging from cold to hot temperatures with high humidity and a high concentration of allergens such as chick down and dust.
  • Willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must not own, possess, or maintain any domestic, wild, or exotic fowl.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
