Job Details: Hatchery Worker Labor HY01 Shift: 1st - Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (4-Day Work Week) Hours Vary: 5:00 a.m. – 3:30p.m. or until finished. Must have a flexible work schedule. Starting Pay: $16.90/hr
Job Responsibilities
- Job Responsibilities vary, the Team Member will be primarily responsible for moving racks of product weighing approximately 900 lbs. or greater consistently throughout the day, approximately 48 racks, and or boxes throughout the facility in a concerted manner, they will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This will include but not limited to counting, reading, scrubbing, soaping, rinsing, disinfecting, mopping, or buffing to meet all sanitation requirements set forth. The team member will also be responsible for practicing safe and delicate egg and chick handling, as well as promoting and practicing proper Animal Welfare Guidelines.
- Must be willing and able to have a flexible schedule and complete all tasks or duties assigned by management.
Physical Requirements
Must be willing and able to perform the following:
- Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing and able to stand for extended periods up to 10 plus hours.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally throughout the shift. (Assistance with lifting over 30 lbs)
- Must be willing and able to work in warm/hot temperatures with high humidity.
- Must be willing and able to bend, reach, push, pull, climb, twist, or perform repetitive motions as required by the position.
- Must be willing and able to work at an elevated level.
- Must be willing and able to work in an area with a high concentration of allergens such as chick down, dust, feathers, blood, etc.
- Must follow all Tyson biosecurity policies and procedures, including any facility-specific requirements related to personal protective equipment, visitor restrictions, animal/product contact, sanitation, and movement between areas as required.
- Must be willing and able to push rolling racks weighing up to 900 lbs, this is considered a Heavy Lifting job.
Requirements
- Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered; an Animal Welfare background check is required.
- Will not consider applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3X or more.
- Rehire Criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
- Must have 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the previous 12 months.
- Only applicants from the following counties in Arkansas will be considered: Carroll, Boone, Newton, Madison County, AR or Stone County in MO, or within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Internal Applicants
- Must meet all of the requirements of an External Applicant.
- Must not have more than 6 Attendance Points at time of posting
- Must not have a Written Warning or Written Warning with Suspension within the past 6 months.
- Must be out of probationary period, if no other qualified Internal Applicant within the facility, a probationary (Internal Team Member within the facility or the NWA Complex will be considered).
