Job summary

Hayden Valley Foods, Inc. is seeking a dependable Machine Operator – Roaster for its 1st shift production team. The role offers Monday–Friday hours, starting pay of $17.50–$19.50 per hour, and full-time employment.

You will set up, monitor, and maintain roasting equipment, ensure product flow and quality, follow safety and SQF procedures, and work with a team to meet daily goals. Food manufacturing experience is a plus, but willingness to learn and strong attendance are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to read and understand production instructions and product specifications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow established procedures and food safety requirements.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the scheduled shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and Quality Control.
• Willingness to learn equipment operation, product specifications, testing, cleaning, and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain roasting equipment during production.
• Monitor product flow, belt speeds, oil levels, temperatures, and other equipment settings.
• Read and follow production tickets to ensure correct product specifications, including allergens and salted/unsalted products.
• Inspect products to meet quality standards throughout roasting.
• Learn to identify different nuts, seeds, ingredients, and product specifications.
• Perform required testing, cleaning, and sanitation procedures.
• Follow food safety, quality, GMP, SQF, and company procedures.
• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
• Communicate equipment, product, safety, or quality concerns to Production Management and Quality Control.
