Job summary

Storm Search LLC seeks an IT Technician for a fully onsite role in Roanoke, VA. This contract position offers autonomous IT work, with competitive hourly pay and potential for long-term engagement with a major organization.

Responsibilities include building and configuring PCs, managing inventory, diagnosing issues, training end-users, and ensuring security systems are up to date. Travel is minimal and occasional.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Ability to configure and deploy computers, printers, storage, and other personal computer related devices.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Domestic travel, less than 5%.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install computer systems per business specifications.
• Manage materials, inventory, and asset records.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, software, printers, and smartphones.
• Coordinate warranty repairs with providers and internal clients.
• Train end-users on basic hardware and software operations.
• Ensure antivirus and malware protection is configured and updated.
• Perform end-user malware remediation.
• Suggest feasible system improvements to manager.
• Collaborate with peers across the organization.
• Utilize business processes effectively.
