Job summary

State-of-Missour is seeking a maintenance worker at the Lemay Maintenance Facility in St. Louis, MO. The role covers routine, entry-level to senior tasks under supervision, with potential for career advancement through our CAREER-LADDER program.

Responsibilities include maintaining roads and facilities, operating equipment, and responding to emergencies. Expect outdoor work, physical demands, possible overtime/night shifts, and CDL-related pre-employment steps.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• CDL exam: written test, tanker endorsement, Class B, interstate status within 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems: fill joints/cracks, patch potholes, traffic control, load/unload materials, clear brush, roadside debris.
• Maintain and repair highway facilities: replace road signs/guardrails, clean gutters, paint buildings/equipment, service machinery.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel/equipment, plow snow, spread ice control materials; mow right of way; use backhoe, forklift, trucks.
• May repair bridge decks/ponds and clean bridge components at heights with ladders/scaffolding.
• Install signs and footings, weld/cut posts, and maintain signs.
