Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. This non-exempt role requires attention to detail, the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and the stamina to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities include setting up and removing signs, cones, and barricades, communicating with motorists and team members, and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
• Provide effective communication with contractors and internal teams while delivering high-level customer service.
• Work well in a team environment and maintain excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team members using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods and be able to lift, carry, push, and move items over 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to and from job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
• Operate in outdoor environments with varying weather and traffic conditions.
