Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction and work zones. You will set up and take down control devices, use hand signals and paddle signals, and ensure worker and public safety.

Responsibilities include maintaining clear communication with the team, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds. High endurance for outdoor conditions and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and clean background are required.
• Must pass drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Must wear safety gear (boots, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Operate two-way radios and communicate clearly with the team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork and customer service are essential.
• Possession of good attendance and reliable transportation.
• Completion of ATSSA Flagger training course and company training.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with overnight stays as needed, and to work nights/weekends.
• Rotating on-call schedule may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic flow around construction sites and work zones.
• Set up and remove signs, cones, and barricades.
• Use stop/slow paddles to manage traffic.
• Communicate with team via two-way radios.
• Stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate and transport traffic control equipment and vehicles.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
