Job summary

Branch Civil’s Roadway Superintendent will work with the Project Manager to ensure project success by meeting schedules, controlling costs, and directing manpower and equipment on assigned highway/site construction projects.

In this role you will provide hands-on field supervision of all operations, including subcontractors, while driving safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to budget to meet owner expectations. Extensive regional travel is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Knowledge of standards, specifications, codes, regulations and laws.
• 8+ years highway/site construction experience.
• 3–5 years in a supervisory position.
• Managed highway/site projects up to $50 MM.

Responsibilities

• Build projects in accordance with plans and specs.
• Develop a Grand Plan/Schedule with PM and communicate to staff.
• Utilize resources (people, equipment, materials) effectively.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure quality and schedule requirements.
• Preplan and communicate project activities; plan ahead.
• Review budgets, time restraints, and cost codes with PM; manage purchasing.
