Branch Builds, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to join our growing Civil Division.

You will co-produce project success with the Project Manager, ensuring schedules, costs, manpower, and equipment are optimized on highway/site projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include hands-on field supervision, coordination with subcontractors, and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Knowledge of standards, specifications, codes, regulations and laws.
• 8+ years highway/site construction experience.
• 3–5 years in a supervisory position.
• Managed highway/site projects up to $50MM.
• DOT experience required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Responsabilités

• Builds project in accordance with all plans and specifications.
• Develops a Grand Plan/Schedule of operation and communicates to all employees.
• Effectively utilizes resources: people, equipment, materials.
• Supervises subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule requirements.
• Preplans and communicates project activities; plans ahead.
• Reviews cost status and takes corrective action to protect margin.
• Establishes a quality standard for completed work and ensures contract compliance.
• Oversees day-to-day quality control of company and subcontractor work.
• Maintains safety policy on project and models safety-conscious behavior.
• Motivates employees to achieve results and builds positive relationships with owners, architects, and engineers.
