Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent for its Civil Division. You will be jointly responsible with the Project Manager for project success, controlling costs, and directing field operations across subcontractors and crews to meet timelines and quality standards.

You will promote safety, maintain margins, and build positive relationships with owners and engineers. Extensive travel within the region is expected; 40+ hours weekly with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Working knowledge of standards, specifications, codes, regulations and laws.
• Knowledge of construction techniques.
• 8+ years highway/site construction experience.
• 3–5 years in a supervisory position.
• Managed highway/site projects up to $50MM.
• DOT experience required.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Builds project in accordance with plans and specifications.
• In concert with PM, develops a Grand Plan/Schedule and communicates to staff.
• Effectively utilizes resources: people, equipment, materials.
• Supervises subcontractors to ensure quality and schedule.
• Preplans and communicates activities; plans ahead.
• Reviews budget, time restraints, cost codes, and purchase control.
• Reviews cost status and maintains margin through improved ops.
• Ensures work meets contract requirements and company standards.
• Maintains day-to-day quality control of company and subcontractor work.
