Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Roadway Project Engineer in Nashville, TN to contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects including urban and rural roadways, bridges, roundabouts, and trails.

You will prepare plan sets, support budgeting and scheduling, and collaborate with clients, agencies, and internal teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 5+ years of roadway design experience, and a PE license.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
5+ years of roadway design experience.
Registered PE (Professional Engineer).
Knowledge of Bentley OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
Experience with TDOT policies and procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assists in project scope, budget and schedule development.
Supports PM providing technical knowledge on various projects.
Prepares and reviews engineering specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce deliverables.
Mentors and reviews work of technicians and more junior staff.
Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies to resolve challenges.
Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, as appropriate.
Conducts on-site visits, as appropriate.
Performs other duties as requested.
