Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of related work experience or an approved acceptable equivalence.
• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement in the position.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains medium motorized equipment used in roadway maintenance (e.g., tandem dump truck, patcher, spreader, roller, loader, fuel truck).
• Coordinates placement of traffic control devices to set up maintenance work zones according to standards.
• Performs manual labor with drills, jacks, concrete saws, pavement breakers, and other tools.
• Assists in emergency and inclement weather operations and may work 12-hour shifts.
