Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains medium motorized equipment used in roadway maintenance (e.g., tandem dump truck, belt loader, aggregate spreader, skid steer loader, large roller).
• Performs construction, repair, and preservation tasks on roads and bridges within Dorchester County.
• Coordinates placement of traffic control devices to set up maintenance work zones as per guidelines.
• Performs right-of-way management tasks with various tools; assists in emergency and inclement weather operations.
• May require extended hours or 12-hour shifts.
