Park County Government in Colorado seeks a Transportation Maintenance Worker I to perform entry-level road maintenance and construction tasks within Public Works. You will operate heavy equipment (grader, loader and plow trucks), assist with snow removal, perform routine maintenance on vehicles, help with drainage and culvert work, and participate in flagging, traffic control, and safety training.

The role requires physical work, occasional weekend shifts, and adherence to DOT and county safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years experience in similar or related field preferred but not required.
• To achieve 50% or greater of pay a Class B CDL is required.
• Must possess current DOT Medical Card.
• Must pass background check.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment including motor grader, loader and plow trucks for road maintenance and snow removal.
• Be available to assist with emergencies and snow removal at any time including weekends and holidays.
• Perform entry level operator maintenance on equipment and vehicles including preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds routinely and 80 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to put tire chains on trucks and equipment.
• Assist with drainage operations including culvert installation and cleaning.
• Assist with flagging during traffic control operations.
• Participate in ESF 1 and ESF 3 and complete required trainings.
