Park County Government in Colorado seeks a Transportation Maintenance Worker III for Public Works to operate heavy equipment, perform road maintenance, and lead crews as needed. The role demands CDL qualifications, DOT medical certification, and readiness for irregular hours, emergencies, and seasonal snow operations.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, training of TMW I/II staff, drainage work, and safe traffic control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years' experience operating heavy equipment and/or truck driving for road construction and maintenance.
• To achieve 50% or greater of pay a Class B CDL is required.
• Possession of a valid Colorado Commercial Class A Driver’s License with tanker endorsement.
• Must possess current DOT Medical Card.

Responsabilités

• Operate heavy equipment including motor grader, loader and plow trucks for road maintenance and snow removal.
• Assist with emergencies and snow removal at any time including weekends and holidays.
• Perform maintenance on equipment including minor welding and fabrications.
• Train TMW I/II employees in operation of Park County equipment and safety standards.
• Assist with drainage operations including culvert installation and maintenance.
• Flagging during traffic control operations and day-to-day supervision as needed.
• Work unsupervised and act as crew leader as required.
• Be available to work flexible hours and report to assigned shop/location as needed.
