Job summary

Park County Government is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Worker II for the Public Works department in Colorado. The role involves skilled maintenance and construction on roadways, rights-of-way, and associated easements, including snow removal and equipment operation.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of heavy equipment or truck driving experience, a Class B CDL with tanker endorsement, and a current DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two–five years' experience operating heavy equipment or truck driving.
• Class B CDL with tanker endorsement required.
• DOT medical card current.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment for road maintenance, construction and snow removal.
• Assist with emergencies, including weekends and holidays.
• Perform equipment maintenance and minor repairs; assist with major repairs when needed.
• Place tire chains on trucks and equipment.
• Work unsupervised and show self-motivation.
• Assist with drainage operations and culvert maintenance.
• Flagging during traffic control operations.
• Adhere to safety and PPE requirements and follow chain of command.
