Job summary

Northwest Parkway in Colorado is seeking a Roadway Maintenance Technician, L2 based in Broomfield. You will perform hands-on maintenance, patrol for hazards, assist motorists, and respond to incidents to keep the parkway safe and compliant.

You’ll work under a Foreman or Supervisor, using basic tools and equipment, supporting traffic control, and ensuring timely documentation and safety adherence in a dynamic, outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL required.
• 3+ years of roadway maintenance, construction, public works, landscaping, or outdoor labor experience preferred.
• Familiarity with roadway environments, traffic control, or highway safety practices is a plus.
• Certifications such as flagger, OSHA 10, or traffic control training are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pavement repairs, debris removal, drainage clearing, signage upkeep, guardrail repair, and landscaping.
• Operate maintenance vehicles and load/unload materials and equipment.
• Provide roadside assistance and basic mechanical support to motorists.
• Respond to incidents, coordinate with dispatch, and assist with traffic control per MUTCD/Colorado rules.
• Maintain daily logs and report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors.
