Job summary

Park County Public Works is seeking an entry-level Transportation Maintenance Worker I to perform semi-skilled tasks in roadways, rights-of-way and easements. You will operate heavy equipment, assist with snow removal, and perform routine maintenance while meeting safety and DOT requirements.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally, with availability for emergencies, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class B CDL is required to qualify for the wage tiers.
• Must pass background check.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT drug/alcohol testing and DOT medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including motor grader, loader and plow trucks for road maintenance and snow removal.
• Perform entry level maintenance on equipment and assist with repairs.
• Assist with drainage, traffic control, and other public works tasks.
• Attend trainings and follow safety and DOT requirements.
