Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) seeks a Highway Maintenance Specialist in Hayden, CO. Responsibilities include snow plowing, operating heavy equipment, mowing grass, and debris removal to keep roadways safe and open.

You will work in a team with lead specialists and respond to weather emergencies as needed. Qualified candidates have at least two years of physical labor or heavy equipment experience and hold a Colorado CDL class A or B with no air brake restrictions.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two (2) years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow and operating heavy equipment as part of a maintenance team.
• Mowing grass, removing debris, and maintaining roadways.
• Installing and repairing guardrail, signs, and pavement markings; responding to emergencies as needed.
• Maintaining equipment and following safety guidelines.
