Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation in Wichita Falls is seeking Transportation Maintenance Tech I/II to perform routine roadway maintenance, operate light to heavy equipment, and assist with traffic control and public safety during emergencies.

Responsibilities include installing signs, assisting with accident scenes, and ensuring maintenance standards. A CDL-A with N endorsement is required within 180 days, with company CDL training available.

Qualifications

• Experience must be in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license at time of application; CDL A with N endorsement required within 180 days of employment.
• Pre-employment physical and drug test are required for safety impact positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, repairing and installing signs, delineators, mailbox posts and related items.
• Move materials and equipment to job sites and perform routine maintenance on vehicles.
