Job summary

Qualifications

• TMT I: No experience required.
• TMT II: 1 year experience in transportation maintenance or related work.
• Related substitutions with technical training or education may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assists in identifying, repairing and installing signs, delineators, mailbox supports and posts; basic welding may be performed.
• Assists local law enforcement at accident scenes and helps stranded motorists as needed.
• Assists with traffic control; places and gathers cones, signs and barricades; flags traffic.
• Maintains highways and rights-of-way; performs roadway repairs; erects/repairs guard rails and highway markers.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and routine servicing on equipment; completes required reports.
