Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a Crew Foreman for the Orangeburg maintenance unit. You will supervise a crew of Highway Maintenance Workers on the Work Request Crew, overseeing pothole patching, right-of-way clearing, drainage work, and driveway installations. A valid Class A CDL within six months is required.

Three and a half years of related work experience are expected. The role includes lifting up to 50 lbs, on-call duties, and working in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a crew of Highway Maintenance Workers on the Work Request Crew.
• Patches potholes, clears right of way, and maintains drainage.
• Maintains weekly and monthly reports, time sheets, and cost records.
• On-call duties and response to hazardous weather events and emergencies.
