Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a working Crew Foreman to lead a county maintenance crew in repairs and preservation of roads and bridges on the state highway system.

Responsibilities include scheduling, safety, equipment operation, and coordinating traffic control; candidates must have 3.5 years of related experience and obtain a Class A CDL within six months.

Qualifications

• Three and one-half (3.5) years of related work experience.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required; Class A CDL within six months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and preserve roads and bridges on the state highway system.
• Supervise crew on drainage, vegetation, signs, and concrete work.
• Plan daily work, assign tasks, monitor time and material usage; input data into asset management systems.
