Job summary

Oasis IAM in Gainesville, FL is seeking a hands-on Crew Lead to manage a local roadway maintenance crew. You’ll plan daily tasks, supervise field work, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of activities outdoors in variable weather.

The role combines leadership with fieldwork, coaching technicians, and coordinating with supervisors. Night, weekend, and on‑call shifts may be required; reporting to the North Gainesville office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 23 years old and have an active Florida driver's license.
• Ability to pass MVR checks and maintain insurability under company policy.
• Must obtain Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) or Flagger certification.
• Pass pre-employment screenings, background check, and drug testing.
• Willingness to travel within the district and work at various sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance tasks of an assigned crew and set priorities.
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met on all activities.
• Oversee work zone traffic control and PPE compliance.
• Coach and train new team members; foster a high‑performing culture.
• Coordinate with supervisors and document progress and issues.
• Perform pothole patching, debris removal, and sign repairs as needed.
• Complete work orders, timekeeping, and material records accurately.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment; conduct pre/post trips.
