The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a CDL with air-brake and tanker endorsement, and relevant certifications. Previous roadwork experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL with air-brake and tanker endorsement is required.
• Certificate in welding, bucket truck, back hoe and forklift.
• Ability to read and understand measurements.
• 1-2 years of general roadwork experience.
• Knowledge of traffic laws for light and heavy equipment.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain highway maintenance equipment safely.
• Assist in snow and ice removal operations.
• Guard rail, sign, fence, crack-sealing and other repairs as needed.
• Load and unload materials; keep tools and vehicles clean.
• Support safety trainings and comply with safety requirements.
• Patrol road to assist patrons and manage traffic flow where needed.
• Assist other departments for general upkeep and safety tasks.
