Job summary

ITRCC equipment operators perform highway maintenance duties across Granger, IN, using trucks, mowers, spreaders, and other equipment. This is a full-time on-site role emphasizing safety, efficiency, and community service.

Responsibilities include inspections, material handling, and occasional training of new staff while maintaining vehicles and tools and ensuring traffic flows and road safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of general roadwork experience.
• Certificate in welding, bucket truck, back hoe and forklift.
• Ability to read and understand measurements.
• CDL with air-brake and tanker endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain highway maintenance equipment safely.

• Gather and monitor inventory supplies for daily jobs.
• Perform tasks like mowing, snow removal, patching, route patrols and traffic control.
• Assist other departments as needed and ensure proper care of equipment.
