Job summary

Itr Concession Co Llc in Portage, IN is seeking a Seasonal Equipment Operator/Laborer to perform highway maintenance duties under supervision. The role requires safety compliance and the ability to operate maintenance equipment. It’s a seasonal, on-site position with no hybrid schedule.

Qualification includes a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement, 1–2 years roadwork experience, and snow plowing experience. Training and safety compliance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement.
• 1–2 years of general roadwork experience.
• Previous snow plowing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand measurements.
• Working knowledge of highway maintenance practices.
• Certificate in welding, bucket truck, back hoe and forklift.

Responsibilities

• Performs highway maintenance tasks safely and in line with internal/external safety requirements.
• Upholds ITRCC’s CARES values: Community, Actions, Reliability, Excellence and Safety.
• Performs similar maintenance activities as full-time labor positions.
• Complete pre-trip vehicle inspections.
• Occasional patrol vehicle duties for incident response and motorist aid.
• Check vehicle and fuel at end of shift.
• Participate in snow and ice operations.
• Fix signs and guardrails.
• Pick up trash and debris.
• Conduct inventory of supplies.
• Maintain fleet vehicles and equipment to an acceptable standard.
• Complete all trainings as required.
• All other duties as assigned.
