Texas Department of Transportation in Corpus Christi is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate tractor-trailer haul trucks, motor graders, excavators, and more on maintenance projects that keep Texas roads safe and reliable. The role offers the chance to work independently with heavy equipment, perform PMI, and support traffic control and road repairs.

Minimum qualifications include a valid TX CDL-A with N endorsement and 1 year experience for Operator level.

Formación

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Texas CDL class A with N endorsement required at time of application.
• Commercial Driver Certificate required for this position.
• Safety Impact Certificate required for safety positions.

Responsabilidades

• Assists with traffic control; places and gathers cones, warning signs and barricades; flags traffic.
• Operates tractor-trailer haul trucks and other heavy equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections, routine servicing and minor repairs on equipment.
• Relocates heavy equipment on haul trailers in compliance with laws and regulations.
• May train other employees on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Operates heavy equipment for complex transportation maintenance and roadway repairs.
