Job summary

HDR invites a Roadway Engineer/Project Manager to contribute to planning, design and delivery of transportation infrastructure in Montana. You will work with project managers, technical staff and clients to develop practical solutions while supporting quality, schedule and budget goals.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, MT PE license or reciprocity, and hands-on experience with Civil 3D/OpenRoads Designer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/structural engineering.
• Current PE license in MT or eligible through reciprocity.
• Experience in roadway design across urban and rural projects.
• Proficiency with CAD and design software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage or lead road design projects from concept to delivery.
• Coordinate professional staff and balance project development.
• Develop client relations and participate in design and production meetings.
• Oversee CAD Designers and junior engineers.
• Prepare detailed roadway/highway designs for projects.
• Monitor project schedule and budget, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Support QC reviews and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with managers for project reviews.
