Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Engineer in Miami, FL for our Roads & Highways Team. This entry-level role supports development of conceptual through final engineering plans and environmental documents, preparing reports, permits, and graphics, and assisting with quantity calculations for cost estimates.

You will work under supervision, gain formal mentorship, and pursue Engineering Intern certification. Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of conceptual, preliminary, and final engineering plans by completing defined tasks.

• Prepare materials for reports, permits, and presentations; gather information and draft outlines.
• Assist with quantities for construction cost estimates and other duties as assigned.

Job Description Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join our Roads & Highways Team. This is an entry-level position in Miami, FL. Your role Participates in the development of the conceptual, preliminary, and final engineering plan work by completing well-defined tasks. Participates in supporting the development of alternative highway designs for public hearing materials as part of the environmental document preparation. Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outlines, and/or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations. Assists with calculation of quantities for construction cost estimates. Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

About you

EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering. Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelor's Degree in a branch of Engineering directly related to hiring discipline; no experience required with a Master's degree.

EXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years experience in a related technical field.

SPECIAL SKILLS

• Technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Desire and motivation for training and performing tasks using the MicroStation CAD platform and the design software's of either GeoPak, InRoads, or OpenRoads.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

Engineering Intern (EI) certification required.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $75,000 - $85,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
