Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Engineer - Roadway Design to lead major transportation projects, coordinating civil roadway design across highways and interchanges. You will work with multidisciplinary teams and ensure high-quality deliverables from concept through detailed design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering as required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or immediately eligible.
• Minimum 10 years of roadway/highway design experience.
• Proven experience with MTO and/or municipal clients.
• Strong knowledge of highway engineering standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Detailed design experience on complex projects.
• Extensive knowledge in Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design components for major transportation projects from concept to completion.
• Act as a transportation engineer on MTO and municipal projects in both preliminary and detailed design.
• Prepare and review technical reports, contract documents, design drawings, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Perform quality control reviews on plans, profiles, and design models in Civil 3D, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Conduct initial site inspections and support constructability reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, and internal project teams.
• Stay current with evolving CAD and roadway design tools and standards.
