Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior roadway engineer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to lead technical development of urban roadway design projects and perform QA checks on interstate and state highway systems.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams in a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in roadway engineering design.
• Professional Engineering license recognized by the licensing board (e.g., PE).
• Ability to lead and communicate with diverse teams.
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, concept alignments, geometrical layout, CAD base alignment plans.

Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design.
• Professional Engineering license recognized by the licensing board (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and ability to work with various teams.
• Experience with urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, concept alignments, geometrical layout, CAD base alignment plans.
• Experience coordinating survey, grading, drainage and utilities, and layout of various site items is a plus.
