Job summary

H&H, based in Bedford, NH, seeks a Mid-Level Roadway/Transportation Engineer to join the Highway Group. You will contribute to roadway design, project engineering, client coordination, and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Five to fifteen years of highway design experience, a PE or ability to obtain licensure within six months, and proficiency in Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D are required. Familiarity with NH DOT standards is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five to fifteen years of highway/roadway design experience.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within six months.
• Familiarity with New Hampshire DOT design standards.
• Drainage design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Bentley CONNECT Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation roadway projects.
• Attend client project meetings, participate in proposals and presentations, manage project tasks and projects, and meet with regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate effectively with other design team members.
• Manage, train, and mentor less experienced engineers in production of plans, specs, and estimates.
• Handle project engineering responsibilities including communication, scheduling, budgeting, and progress across multiple tasks.
• Assist with local marketing efforts, including proposals and municipal functions.
