Job summary

Qualifications

Minimum experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics is acceptable within an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other requirements include PA residency and ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

Plan preparation: Prepare and check roadway plans, construction drawings, and right-of-way layouts using CADD software.
Technical drafting: Complete detailed drafting work from preliminary sketches through final design plans.
Design support: Assist engineers by setting alignments, performing calculations, and developing drainage or grade layouts.
Survey interpretation: Apply survey notes, field data, and aerial photographs to support plan development.
Field review: Conduct field investigations to observe terrain, drainage, and physical site conditions.
