Job summary

Knife River Corporation - Mountain West is seeking hard working Laborers for projects in Boise, Idaho. Responsibilities include cleaning and preparing construction sites, unloading materials, reading plans and assisting Foremen on site.

Preferred 1–2 years' experience in heavy highway labor with training available for the right candidate. The role emphasizes physical labor, teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years' experience as a laborer in heavy highway work preferred.
• Willing to train the right person.
• Must be able to perform manual labor for a majority of shifts.
• Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, endurance and concentration are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manual operations at heavy highway construction sites.
• Participate in demolitions and work with underground utilities.
• Read blueprints and designs, remove trees and debris.
• Control traffic and prepare highway work zones.
• Dig trenches, install sewer, water, and storm drain pipes.
• Pour concrete and/or asphalt onto roads.
• Operate tools and machines and support Foremen.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
