Responsibilities include operating basic tools, assisting with manual operations, engaging in demolitions when required, and coordinating with crew to maintain productivity while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

General knowledge of construction work.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid drivers license.
Must be able to work day shifts and night shifts; shifts may vary according to project demands.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Must be willing to travel if job requires.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Perform duties safely and productively as assigned.
Communicate and listen effectively.
Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all personnel.
Physical activity including standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, walking on uneven ground, lifting, carrying, pushing, shoveling, and raking.
Assist with manual operations at heavy highway construction sites.
Participate in demolitions, remove trees and debris.
Some traffic control.
Operate tools and various machines.
