Job summary

Knife River is seeking hard‑working Laborers to support Southern Idaho construction projects. Responsibilities include site prep, material handling, and reading plans. You will assist Foremen and other crew members on highway sites, performing manual labor and operating tools as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in heavy highway labor preferred; training may be provided.
• Must be hard working, dependable, and able to perform manual labor for the majority of the shift.
• Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance are essential.
• Ability to understand and communicate information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with manual operations at heavy highway construction sites.
• Demolitions and work with underground utilities.
• Read blueprints and designs to support construction work.
• Control traffic and clear highway work zones.
• Dig trenches and install sewer, water, and storm drainpipes.
• Pour concrete or asphalt onto roads; operate tools and machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
