Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Civil Intern (Highway/Roadway) for summer 2026 to support roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation under the guidance of senior engineers in our Kansas offices.

You'll gain hands-on experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D while collaborating with the Transportation and Highway Design team across Kansas locations, including Kansas City, Manhattan, Overland Park, Wichita.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solution skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist roadway and highway design projects and related tasks.
• Support traffic analysis and plan preparation activities.
• Gain hands-on experience with engineering design software and project delivery.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and teams across Kansas offices.
