Kimley-Horn in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join our Roadway team. You will develop geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, drainage plans, and signing and striping details using CAD software, contributing to both preliminary engineering and final design.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or an associate degree, 3+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsabilités

• Develop concepts and preliminary/ final roadway designs.
• Develop technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Quality check drawings and plans of substantial complexity; perform calculations as needed.
• Unknown supervision required; maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
• Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes.
• Maintains drawing database; coordinates work activities.
• May supervise and train CAD staff; develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's standards.
