Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Naples, FL is seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join our Roadway team. The role focuses on developing concepts and performing preliminary engineering and final design for transportation projects, using CAD software to produce and quality-check drawings.

You will work with a team to ensure schedules and standards are met, maintain drawing databases, and may supervise CAD staff. Strong communication and independent work are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with CAD.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and preliminary and final roadway design.
• Create geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading, drainage, superelevation, construction details, traffic control, erosion control, and signing/striping plans.
• Produce technical drawings and plans using CAD software and verify drawing quality.
• Maintain drawing database and potentially supervise CAD staff.
• Coordinate activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality.
