Job summary

Atlas is seeking a CM Inspector 2 to support highway and bridge construction projects in Midland, TX. The role involves field inspections, documenting activities, and verifying compliance with TxDOT requirements to deliver safe, reliable infrastructure.

You will review daily reports, perform measurements, and monitor pay item quantities while coordinating with resident engineers, contractors, and city officials.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting roadway, highway, bridge, or other heavy civil construction projects.
• Working knowledge of TxDOT plans, specifications, standard details, and construction practices.
• Experience reviewing daily reports, calculating quantities, and maintaining project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to resolve field issues and discrepancies.
• Ability to communicate with engineers, contractors, inspectors, and public agency representatives.

Responsibilities

• Inspect highway and bridge construction operations for compliance with TxDOT plans and contract specs.
• Review daily work reports, submittals, shop drawings, and monthly progress estimates.
• Perform field measurements and calculations to establish pay item quantities.
• Coordinate with resident engineers, contractors, and city officials to resolve on-site discrepancies.
• Monitor safety and erosion control measures and ensure adherence to regulations.
