Job summary

Atlas is a trusted environmental and infrastructure consultant seeking a senior Construction Inspector to operate independently in the field, represent Atlas with municipal clients and TxDOT, and mentor junior inspectors on complex roadway projects.

The role requires strong plan-reading, report accuracy, and the ability to manage safety and regulatory compliance across sites with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's or higher preferred.
• Must have 10+ years as a construction inspector on TxDOT projects or similar.
• Strong knowledge of TxDOT specs, provisions, and Tex-series tests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and site logs.
• Communicate findings to contractors, PMs, and TxDOT/municipal reps.
• Lead or chief inspector on multi-inspector crews and mentor others.
• Inspect TxDOT/municipal sites for compliance with plans and specs.
