Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an on-site Field Inspector to support highway projects across multiple locations, including Raleigh, NC. You will inspect traffic control, environmental controls, layout, and construction methods, ensuring compliance with plans and QC procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (or equivalent), 2 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license. Expect 20%–40% travel and the ability to review tests and reports in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials.
• Review contractor daily reports and verify QC procedures and material testing conformance.
• Review material testing procedures and measure quantities; may perform sampling or in-place testing.
