Job summary

AAA Northeast in West Springfield, MA, is seeking a Flatbed Roadside Service Technician to provide safe, efficient roadside assistance and towing for AAA members. You will greet members, assess situations, perform minor mechanical work as trained, and tow when required, while promoting AAA products and services in a 24/7 operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years of age, automotive training, a valid state driver’s license and a DOT card pre-hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting.
• Active and valid driver’s license from a single state required.
• DOT card required pre-hire and within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Dispatch or member calls with ETA and locate members.
• Assess safety of the scene on arrival and ensure vehicle is in a safe location.
• Provide minor mechanical assistance and towing as needed and safe.
• Educate members on AAA services and products; promote AAA offerings.
• Operate MDC computer to update calls and handle payments via cash/credit.
