Job summary

Allianz Partners is seeking an experienced roadside vehicle technician to start from home, operate a fully equipped van and diagnose faults at the roadside to get customers moving safely. You will balance repair vs recovery decisions and coordinate subsequent maintenance as needed.

The role includes field-based work across the region with a strong emphasis on customer communication, data capture, and adherence to safety standards. Training in EV diagnostics and roadside skills is provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a vehicle/roadside technician who can work independently at the scene.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with modern equipment.
• Confident, calm customer communication and able to manage expectations.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside calls and diagnose faults to enable safe onward travel or arrange recovery when needed.
• Make safety-led decisions on repair vs. recovery and coordinate workshop attention as required.
• Own each job end-to-end: communicate with customers, set expectations and provide reassurance.
• Operate and maintain the fully equipped van, manage tools and parts, and record notes accurately.
• Meet service, safety and quality standards while working toward clear financial targets.
