HDR is seeking an experienced Highway/Roads Engineer to join our Transportation team in Wyoming, based in Gillette. You will contribute to designing roadway projects, guide CAD Designers, and collaborate with project managers to advance urban and rural highway schemes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in roadway engineering design.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred/required.
• Hands-on with CAD tools listed above.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience includes urban and rural highway interchanges and traffic planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway/roadway projects.
• Oversee the work of CAD Designers, and possibly other EITs.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and highway projects.
• Participate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase.
• Assume some project management duties and interact with clients as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
