Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Anchorage seeks a Highway/Roads Engineer to lead technical design of urban and rural roadway projects within HDR’s Transportation Business Group. You’ll shape designs that move people safely and efficiently.

You will oversee CAD Designers, prepare detailed roadway designs, and participate from site feasibility through construction, with some project-management duties and client interaction. PE license required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in roadway engineering design.
• Experience with corridor modeling, grading, and drafting plansheets in Civil 3D.
• Experience on Alaska DOT&PF projects.
• Professional engineering license recognized by licensing board.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical role on urban and rural highway projects.
• Oversee CAD Designers and EITs.
• Prepare detailed roadway designs for projects.
• Participate from site feasibility analysis to final design and construction.
• Assume project management duties and interact with clients as needed.
