Job summary

Republic Services is offering a Driver Trainee program in which you will complete CDL training and then transition to a Driver role across residential, commercial, industrial or roll-off lines. The program includes classroom study, on-route training and access to a loaner truck to prepare for the CDL examination.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to obtain a CDL.
• Pay range $17.80 to $19.57 per hour; actual range depends on locality.

Responsibilities

• Successfully complete Republic Services CDL training program including classroom study and on-route training.
• Complete twelve months of employment after obtaining a CDL.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Operate heavy or commercial truck along a designated route to service customers.
• Load and unload waste, follow safety policies and procedures.
• After CDL, perform responsibilities of a Driver in one of the lines of business.
