Job summary

Republic Services is offering a Driver Trainee program in the United States to prepare you for a CDL and a future Driver role across Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Roll-Off streams.

The program combines classroom study with on-road training and hands-on development, including a loaner truck, with a commitment to twelve months of employment after obtaining the CDL and to safe, reliable service for customers.

Qualifications

• No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial driver’s license.
• Successful completion of the CDL training program.
• Commitment to twelve months of employment following CDL attainment.

Responsibilities

• Complete Republic Services’ CDL training program (classroom, on-route training, driving experience, loan of a truck) to obtain a CDL.
• Learn to perform pre- and post-operation inspections and report safety issues.
• Learn to safely operate a heavy or commercial truck along a designated route and serve customers.
• After CDL, perform all Driver responsibilities in one of the company lines of business.
